Highland Heart Postcards

A postcard collection which commemorates the repeal of the 1746 Highland Dress Proscription. The original Act sought to suppress the highland clans by having any wearing or displaying of tartan prohibited. This repeal reinstated this right to wear and display tartan, and thus is cause for celebration! As a way to showcase this tartan pride, these postcards showcase highland creatures happily restoring tartan dress to the Scottish people. The first postcard in the collection honours puffins, whilst the second honours pine martens.
